Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), is the joint that hinges the lower jaw (mandible) to the skull. Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD) or more commonly known as TMJ is a chronic inflammation of the tempro-mandibular joint, The muscles and the joints associated with the teeth are subject to wear, tear and eventually can break down.
Although muscles and joints are very adaptable, ultimately, people with TMJ/TMD can experience:
Facial pain & Headaches
Problems with head and neck muscles
Jaw joint pain or stiffness
Clicking in your jaw
Limited jaw opening
Discomfort or pain while trying to chew
Severe wear or breakdown of teeth.
Disorders and pain associated with TMJ/TMD are uncomfortable and we do not want you to suffer any longer.
