What Are My Teeth Whitening Options?
There are many different teeth whitening options in the market today (i.e., Whitening Tooth Paste and Mouthwash, Whitening Strips and Whitening Trays from drug stores, In-Office Whitening, Take Home Whitening Kit).
At Coastal City Dental, we offer both in-office whitening and take home whitening kits.
What to Expect
If you choose to whiten your teeth at home, Dr. Bae will take impressions to create customized trays molded to fit your smile. The whitening effects of at-home trays are comparable to in-office whitening, but treatment time is spread out over the course of a week or longer.
How much is teeth whitening?
At Coastal City Dental Centre, the take home whitening kit costs $275. This includes your customized whitening trays as well as whitening gels to last approximately 2-3 weeks of teeth whitening.
For the patients with their customized whitening trays, whitening gels cost $35 when they want to do a touch up whitening ~6 months to a year down the road as a maintenance.
Is Teeth whitening safe?
When done with the help of a trained dental professionals, yes it is.
Professional teeth whitening is customized by the strength of the whitening gel according to the needs of your smile and the degree of whiteness desired.
How can I keep my teeth white after my treatment?
How long your whitening effects last really varies depending on patients. Avoiding staining foods and drinks and not smoking can increase the longevity of your treatment. Because we give you custom trays, and gel to use at home, you can use these for a quick touch-up whenever needs.
Does whitening cause tooth sensitivity?
Whitening can heighten tooth sensitivity temporarily.
If you do experience any sensitivity to hot or cold foods or drinks, it will disappear within a day or two. Meanwhile, you can use a toothpaste and mouth rinse designed for sensitive teeth to help with your sensitivity.
